Currently Lusting After...

In no particular order, here are a few bits and pieces that I plan on picking up over the next few months.   During the post-Christmas haze I spent a considerable amount of time doing online window shopping, which led to a loooooong list of lemmings. I've managed to whittle that down by treating myself to a few goodies for my recent birthday and looking at a lot of online swatches and reviews.

Clockwise from the upper left, the products that have made the cut are:

Guerlain KissKiss Lipgloss in Frizzy Mango: Frizzy Mango is a beautiful, peachy coral shade, infused with gold shimmer. It will be my first Guerlain gloss, which are supposedly some of the best out there. This colour was originally released around two years ago, but has made a reappearance in Guerlain's Spring 2013 collection. It is available now at

Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Palette in 06 Boudoir: Boudoir is a gorgeous neutral palette, with two matte shades and two with a shimmer finish. It has drawn comparisons to Chanel's Raffinement palette from their spring collection (see here), but Boudoir is noticeably warmer and less shimmery. And while reviews for Giorgio Armani eyeshadows can be mixed, everyone seems to rave about Boudoir! Available on

Alpha-H Liquid Gold: Liquid Gold is a nighttime glycolic acid treatment that has won rave reviews in the beauty world for its ability to perform near miracles over night. The word on the street is that this will leave your skin smoother, brighter, more even, and overall looking refreshed. A Model Recommends, an absolutely stunning model/blogger/youtuber, has raved about this--and her gorgeous skin is a testament to how well it works (well, that and her clearly superior genes!)

NARS Reflecting Setting Powder: This hasn't hit the market yet, but will be available sometime in late January/early February in both a pressed and loose form. I'd seen this pop up on a few blogs but didn't have any interest until I read this review by Musings of a Muse this afternoon. Suffering from oily skin, I'm always looking for a good setting powder. And this product seems quite unique and--dare I say--revolutionary. Cannot. wait.

Tom Ford Violet Blonde: I've yet to meet a Tom Ford fragrance I didn't like, men's or women's. I'm not normally one for floral scents, but this is not in the least bit sickly or sweet. It blends violets with a rich, musky background. It's sexy, yet refined and sophisticated. While this may be slightly more appropriate for spring/summer, I think it can be worn year round (I know I will). Available at Sephora.

Dolce & Gabbana The Blush in Mocha: Dolce & Gabbana cosmetics, the blushes in particular, have been raved about for months but until very recently, they were inaccessible to the vast majority of the market. A few weeks ago, however, it quietly popped up on Sole, a warm, bright red with a hint of coral, seems to be the most popular choice. But my eye was immediately drawn towards Mocha, which is described as 'rosy tan'. I've been loving my neutral blushes lately (worn with a bold lip, of course) and I cannot wait for this to join them. The colour looks quite deep, so I imagine I'll have to use a light hand. But with their reputation for having an unparalleled texture, I'm sure this blush will be worth it! Available at
