One of my closest friends is getting married this summer and while I've already got my outfit and accessories picked out for her big day, I have no idea what to do with my hair! I'm not a very good hairstylist and for big events I usually just end up putting my hair in hot rollers and wearing it down. But that is so boring and for once, I want to have hair that makes people ask me how I did it!
Enter youtube, the land of a billion hair tutorials. While not all hair tutorials are created equal, I did watch one video that had a beautiful end result and, most importantly, seemed easy enough that even I could recreate it. As you will see if you watch the video, my result is not anywhere near as beautiful as hers, but I will be practicing and perfecting over the coming months!
The basic gist of the hairdo is to wear an elasticated headband with curled hair, and then to twist the hair back and secure it at the nape of the next in the headband. I actually really like that my version was a bit messy and wispy. It looks so romantic and historical to me! In any case, this has inspired me to tap into the world of youtube for hair, not just makeup, and to be more adventurous with my look!
